LUNARK takes gamers to a dark and distant future. When the Earth became uninhabitable, scientists turned the Moon into a spaceship, moved humanity there and went in search of a new home. A specially built supercomputer NOAH was supposed to help them in this. People found a habitable world called Albarin. But they were unable to colonize it properly. Because the artificial intelligence went crazy, enslaved the settlers with the help of drones and began to rule them harshly. The plot follows the adventures of an orphan named Leo. The young man is very different from his fellow citizens, which causes hatred among them.

LUNARK is a mixture of action and platformer with 2D pixel graphics in very low resolution and a side view. The indie title emulates Flashback and Another World. Like those cult hits from the '90s, the project uses rotoscoping technology. The gameplay is diluted with a large number of cinematic cut scenes. The title is designed for single playthrough only. It consists of 12 levels. The hero can run left and right, squat, somersault, jump, cling to ledges, and pull himself up. He can shoot a pistol. But more often he has to run away from enemies, jumping over obstacles on the move and dodging traps or enemy projectiles. Also, the protagonist sometimes chats with friendly characters and periodically solves puzzles.
