Mad Max is an open-world role-playing game in which the protagonist finds himself left for dead in the desert – and, to make matters worse, his legendary Interceptor is stolen after a skirmish with a hulking warlord named Rough Scrotus. Max quickly joins forces with mechanic Chumbucket, who agrees to help Max build a new car so he can get revenge and get his original wheels back. To acquire all the parts and upgrades needed to transform this rusty jalopy into a fighting machine, Rakatanski reluctantly makes deals with the leaders of several desert outposts and sets about clearing the area of ​​threats, capturing enemy camps, scrounging for scrap metal, and engaging in hand-to-hand combat with thugs.

As gamers explore the wasteland in Mad Max, they will encounter lone vehicles or military groups along the way. But the main character has an advantage in the form of a cool harpoon mounted on the car. By targeting the car doors, they can be torn off. In addition, with the help of this weapon you can remove the armor from enemy units piece by piece to open the gas tank, which can then be blown up with a shotgun. In addition, players get the opportunity to tear off the wheels of a car, completely neutralizing it. Max isn't always hunted either: sometimes drivers realize they're at a disadvantage and make a hasty retreat, meaning the character becomes the pursuer.

The harpoon is useful not only against other vehicles. Throughout the wasteland, enemy factions have built fearsome metal towers that can be harpooned and demolished. Sniper nests also dot the landscape and can be torn apart or simply impaled on the sniper and yanked right out of the nest. And once you have Thunderpoon at your disposal, which adds bolts with an explosive tip, you can attack heavily armored vehicles. The pinnacle of car combat is a collision with a convoy with fuel: a large lead vehicle with a handful of cars protecting it.
