Mario Golf: Super Rush considered the sixth installment in the series. Like previous games, this is a sports arcade game with a golf theme. The project does not pretend to be realistic. The emphasis is instead on fun and entertainment. For example: there are hurricanes on the maps. These air currents are capable of throwing the ball to a greater height than should be used. In this title, Mario and other characters from his video games organize competitions in the Mushroom Kingdom. Fans of the franchise will be able to meet Toad, Boo, Toadette, Peach, Luigi and other heroes. In addition to the single player, there is multiplayer available via the Internet. In it, fights between gamers take place in real time.

Mario Golf: Super Rush has several modes:

• Golf adventure – the player creates a hero from scratch and goes through his storyline;
• A separate round is an analogue of a quick game, where you can select a field and set the rules;
• Blitz golf – here, after hitting the ball, you need to run after it on foot at high speeds;
• Regular golf is a traditional sport with classical principles;
• Golf scramble – participants compete in the speed of hitting balls in different arenas.

A partially open world has appeared in the story mode. During breaks between tournaments, the protagonist wanders around large maps and chats with NPCs. As he progresses, he gains access to new locations with different biomes. They also allow him to buy suits and sports equipment. In addition to new content, the sequel now includes the ability to run. During races, you can deliberately knock down your competitors in order to get to your ball and throw it into the required number of holes (in the minimum number of strokes) before others. Before swinging, you can select a club, adjust the strength and angle of attack, and also calculate the trajectory of the projectile. It is important to take into account the type of surface and wind direction.
