Mechanical Special Forces is a tactical game set in the world of BattleTech. The project includes 5 campaigns with 30 levels. Before the start of each task, preparation begins, where the player will receive useful information and learn about the main and additional quests. The main action takes place near the attack of the forces of the Inner Sphere, which is controlled by the Clan of the Smoke Jaguar.

Objectives in Mechcommander differ from each other, asking the gamer to eliminate all enemies in a designated area, seize control of enemy bases, protect a convoy, or help allies. There are side missions at the levels, the completion of which provides an additional reward. Key quests are required to be completed, and their failure leads to a replay of the level. Before starting the operation, the user will have to select mechs, pilots and configure their equipment.

You can take a limited number of units to complete a level – 12. In some areas, it offers a choice of a smaller number of mechs. Killing enemies and completing assignments is accompanied by earning money and resources. Between missions, the user is able to improve pilots, buy new weapons or modernize. Sometimes you will need to complete tasks in a limited time. Enemy equipment is captured only as trophies and is not available for sale.
