Medieval Engineers is a multiplayer sandbox centered around construction. Playing alone or on empty servers is ruined, but the focus of the game is human interaction. The gameplay begins with the characters landing on a randomly created planet. They are free to explore and inhabit it, while not forgetting about the indicator of hunger, on which health and energy depend. After satisfying basic needs, you can think about development. For example, about creating tools and your own database.

The technologies in Medieval Engineers correspond to the name and are located between the 5th and 15th centuries. No high-rise buildings or machine guns can be created here from sticks and stones. Additionally, buildings behave according to real-life physics and structural integrity. This means that you cannot build towers that go up forever, stable buildings without support, or heavy stone walls on wooden floors. For the sake of freedom and realism, interactivity and terraforming were also introduced. You can interact with every bite and stump, and the ground consists of voxels, which allows you to flexibly change its shape.

Well, after the development stage, it’s time to start fighting. Battles between players are provided, but not so much physical as technical. Of course, characters are allowed to equip them with armor and weapons. However, the main battle takes place using structures and siege weapons. Without them, it is impossible to break through the fortifications and not to defend against an attack by a larger army. However, no one has canceled the good old scuffle, especially if tribes that have not yet been rebuilt are fighting.
