MegaMan Unlimited is a game created by fans of the series and includes an alternative version of history with classic characters and locations. The event takes place in 20XX, where Dr. Wily managed to raise an uprising and plunge the whole world into chaos. However, he did not want his robots to go crazy, and his intelligence to be tuned to aggressive behavior. He asked Light to work together to correct a horrific mistake that could lead to irreparable disasters.

While communicating with his work partner, Light says that an unknown force has taken control of the robots, and it is not his fault. Before they can act, a mysterious and stronger robot flies past them, blowing up Mega Man and capturing Wily. The player will have to find out why Mega Man is not susceptible to a mysterious virus spreading throughout the world. Previously, he fought with four carriers of a dangerous program, but was not infected, which raised many questions.

Events will unfold until Megaman gets to the prototype robot and fights with it. However, the enemy is much stronger than the main character and has good protection against most types of weapons.
