MegaMan X7 – the seventh part of the popular series, in which the gameplay and environment are made in 3D. Users familiar with the side-scrolling adventures of X and Zero can now experience a variety of stages with new depth, adding a new level to the familiar hunt for Mavericks. This iteration adds the addition of Axel, a former Maverick who now fights alongside seasoned heroes. The trio confront a growing tide of threats from the Mavericks and battle the vigilante group Red Alert, led by the mysterious Red. As the story progresses, Sigma's manipulative hand is revealed and he once again challenges the Maverick hunters.

MegaMan X7 seamlessly blends 2D and 3D perspectives, giving gamers tactical flexibility by allowing them to switch perspectives throughout their journey.
