Horror action Mental Hospital VR takes place in America. The protagonist is a newspaper reporter, and one day he receives a mysterious message from a girl he knows. Her letter talks about a psychiatric hospital in the Santa Monica area and the mysticism that goes on within the walls of the building. This institution has had an ambiguous reputation for many years, since the most dangerous and violent psychopaths in the country were sent there. Since the protagonist could not simply forget about the existence of the message, he decides to personally go and check out what kind of nastiness has taken up residence in the mental hospital.

As soon as the hero crosses the threshold, he realizes that his girlfriend was not underestimating. The building is inhabited by various monsters, who immediately begin hunting for a living person. Whether the protagonist will be able to survive this night and learn the main secret of the hospital or disappear without a trace depends on the gamer's decisions. Mental Hospital VR uses different ways to scare the user. At one moment, a monster jumps out of the darkness with a roar, and at another, the tension is maintained by the play of light and music. This keeps the nerves on edge and encourages you to always keep your ears open. Monsters can appear from anywhere, and if they get to the journalist, then the game will only have to start over. The main assistant of the character is a portable flashlight – it allows you to navigate in the dark and notice danger in time.
