Action Mercenaries 2 World in Flames takes place in Venezuela, where a fictionalized war has unfolded. The gameplay is presented in the form of a shooter with a third-person view and an open game world. The main character becomes a mercenary of billionaire Ramon Solano and receives the task of searching for General Carmona. He was captured and held somewhere in one of the fortresses on the coast for an unsuccessful attempt to change the government.

The first mission in Mercenaries 2 World in Flames asks the player to use long-range weapons and airstrikes to storm the fortress and rescue the general. The central character successfully completes the task, and the billionaire, not wanting to pay the money, attempts to kill the mercenary. However, the hero manages to escape, although he was wounded by a firearm. Because of this, the protagonist begins to draw up a plan for revenge.

The gamer will control three characters: Mattias Nilsson, Jennifer Mui and Christopher Jacobs. At the beginning of the passage, only one of them will be sent to the place of combat events. Each of them has a unique characteristic and additional abilities. Their life background will affect the plot, dialogue and minor moments in the passage. Much of the gameplay is focused on gunplay and fighting enemies. As you progress, you gain access to new weapons and advanced equipment.
