Motherland is a dark adventure that pokes fun at the theme of the epidemic. In the story, the player plays the role of a traveler. There is snow everywhere, colorful locals, nothing unusual, but the journey ends. It's time to go home, but an epidemic begins and now all borders are taken under control and no one is allowed out. The unusual surroundings, cold and snow have a negative impact on the character, and she begins to get sick. To get some fresh air, the protagonist goes outside. Along the way, he plans to stock up on medicine and get at least a little human interaction before returning to his cramped apartment.

The gameplay here is typical for the genre and will consist of building dialogue branches with characters, as well as searching for levers and objects hidden in locations. The atmosphere in the Motherland, despite the dark colors and despair, cannot be called sinister, but rather satirical.
