Murder Diaries 2 – a detective investigation of a young man controlled by the player. You have to find out the whole truth about the crime committed, based on the clues and evidence found. By collecting fragments of memory and information, the picture is filled with events, and secrets reveal their essence, helping to understand why such a horrific act was done. The narrative follows the killer and the young detective, showing their past and present thoughts and backstory.

As in the first part, the user controls a ghost-like creature, much smaller in size than humans. The main character moves through locations and interacts with interactive objects, achieving useful information, aspects of memories and other clues. Each detail found complements the complete picture of what happened. The controlled creature, similar to a ghost, is the soul of the one who experiences this event the most difficultly.

The gameplay begins with exploration of the first area. The ward flies freely around the area and reaches any place on the map. Mysterious music plays in the background, enhancing the atmosphere of the environment. To move forward in the overall narrative, you will need to collect pieces of memories scattered in different corners of the map. Each element found opens small excerpts from the book, which is gradually filled with new words and sentences.
