Myth of Empires mixes several genres. It is an MMO, an open world survival simulator, a sandbox and a strategy game. At the very beginning, players are allowed to create heroes and choose a PvP or PvE server. The character editor not only makes it possible to customize the appearance of your ward, but also decorate his body with tattoos. You can even layer some colors on top of others. Initially, adventurers find themselves wearing only loincloths on a huge map. They will have to find food for themselves, get their first resources and learn the basics of crafting. As you level up, new recipes are unlocked. Adventurers will also have to protect themselves from aggressive fauna, such as dogs and wolves, and hostile NPCs or gamers. Users can also not only fight among themselves, but also unite. Some NPCs do not attack travelers, but, on the contrary, provide assistance.

The gameplay is based on grinding. In Myth of Empires, you can sell unnecessary loot to merchants, find or craft more suitable equipment (tools here wear out over time), hunt wild animals, take on quests, fish, engage in farming, and build buildings. You can also acquire your own home and equip it. The map in this video game is divided into different prefectures, each consisting of a variety of biomes. As you progress, additional opportunities open up: riding mounts, hiring NPCs, and so on. You can even gather and upgrade an army so that you can then participate in large-scale battles and expand your possessions.
