Necesse – an isometric sandbox where you have to control a character who has set off on his dangerous journey. He will have to not only explore the locations that he meets along the way, but also try to survive in them. To do this, you can use the crafting system, which allows you to create a variety of items and tools to make things easier for the character. It is also possible to create and improve weapons with which you can kill enemies. Resources are collected along the way, while exploring the area; these can be branches, stones or rare valuables that drop from enemies when they are killed.

In Necesse you encounter not only evil monsters, but also other inhabitants of the world. They act as merchants and also issue tasks, for completing which you can receive experience, gold or an additional reward. Also, you can conduct dialogues with residents, ask about the latest news and find out details of the history of the universe.

The area consists of separate islands, divided into biomes, each resource corresponding to its own biome. For example, ore will be mined underground, and wood in dense forests. There is a system of skills that, when upgraded, provide access to additional bonuses. For example, alchemy makes it possible to create potions that will heal or enhance the characteristics of the hero. Also, taming animals that can act as transport is available to help.
