Nethergate: Resurrection takes users back to the era of the Ancient World. Britain is captured by the army of the Roman Empire. The country is almost completely ruined. The Celts, the indigenous population of the island, were conquered by the Romans. However, they can no longer tolerate the shameful life of slaves, and start a rebellion. The main character can choose who he will play as. These are the Romans or the Celts. The plot of the game and its further passage, depending on this choice, will have a big difference.

In the fight against the hated Romans, the Celts use numerous magical spells. In addition to them, several hundred artifacts, each of which has magical powers, seem to be an even more effective argument. If the user chooses to side with the Romans in Nethergate: Resurrection, they will use all their military and diplomatic measures to defeat the enemy. After all, the glory and military power of a great empire depends on this.
