Next Day: Survival is a multiplayer survival action game set in a post-apocalyptic setting. A huge map created by indie developers for their own brainchild is completely open for exploration at any time. The gamer independently decides where to go and what tasks to complete to develop the protagonist and collect valuable resources and equipment. Almost all locations are reminiscent of the times of the Soviet Union, this is done due to the fact that all the gameplay takes place in a fictional post-Soviet country. Most of the state is infected and covered in a thick and acrid fog that has killed almost all living things and forced people to survive in rather difficult conditions.

The user creates his own virtual protégé thanks to a simple character editor and, with a minimal set of things, sets off on an adventure and new acquaintances. Other players can become both true friends and dangerous enemies who will betray you in order to obtain benefits and things from the protagonist’s body. That is why it is important to find allies and unite with them into a clan for the sake of joint survival, increasing the chances of success.

The game contains non-player characters belonging to different factions, which you can join after your reputation has risen to the desired level. You need to raise your authority in the eyes of certain communities by completing numerous quests related to eliminating bandits or mutants, as well as collecting certain things.
