Nexus – The Jupiter Incident can be called a cosmic strategy in real time. The emphasis in it is placed on ship battles, and not on the construction of the base or the production of resources. The developers themselves call their project a tactical fleet simulator. The battles occur in a completely three -dimensional environment.

In Russian localization, Title is known by the name “Nexus. The incident on Jupiter.” The campaign divided into 6 episodes consists of 26 missions. They most often have to engage in espionage, reconnaissance, escort, open confrontations, diversions. There is even stealth. The linearity of the plot is compensated by the presence of sudden turns. History is dedicated to the adventures of Captain Marcus Cromwell. In the 22nd century, his father was sent to study the wormhole that appeared near Mars, but she disappeared with the ship. And the son himself, during the performance of a simple task, accidentally fell into a large trouble and ended up in another part of the galaxy. From this moment, the main narrative begins.

The gameplay is built around the micro -management. The player commands a group of starships, which includes large transport, fighters and bombers. At the same time, they allow to command a maximum of 10 ships. The vessels must be protected, because nothing can be bought here. The user can distribute energy in each combat unit by its systems: shields, guns, engines and so on. In your units, you can set up upgrades. They also allow them to replace the weapons. There is a rich assortment of weapons and improvements, which gives scope for creating builds and customization. In total, the game has 90 devices and types of weapons, 30 varieties of flying equipment, 6 races and fractions, 50 characters, 350 celestial bodies, including planets, moon and comets. There is an opportunity to pump skills to the protagonist and his ward.
