IN Occult Rewrite the player will face a withering curse, finding himself in a spacious bosom of truth. The protagonist is trapped along with his classmates, getting to a mysterious island. The territory is completely shrouded in fog, and the depths of the terrain contain deadly dangers and mysteries. Only the protagonist is able to save his friends and get out of this place, finding himself in an unfortunate situation.

The gameplay offers the user to find their own path to salvation. There are practically no hints or signs in the passage that direct you to the right path. You need to think quickly and react to the constantly changing environment. The ward can interact with the world, opening passages or revealing secrets. The path to victory is on an unknown path, which will be reached by ingenuity and cold decisions.

The death of the central character does not mean the end of the adventure. Each playthrough can be rewritten to act differently and find yourself in a better position than before. There are multiple endings, where characters can die, betray, escape, or remain on the island. When facing deadly situations on the island, you need to solve mysteries and get to key items that help you overcome difficulties.
