OPUS: Rocket of Whispers – a story about the post-apocalypse. Many years ago, a terrible epidemic occurred that destroyed most of humanity. The few survivors lead a sad and deprived life, without hope for a break. Among these unfortunates is John Mason – the son of an engineer who built space rockets and suffers from the ghosts of the past. So John would have been cuckooing in depressive loneliness, if one day he had not found Fay Ling – a witch who fell into cryogenic sleep, and therefore survived the plague.

Faye professes a religion that requires burying corpses in space after death, launching them in special rockets. And she convinces Mason that the spirits of the past will stop tormenting him if he helps them rest in peace. The protagonist agrees – and this is where the main gameplay of OPUS: Rocket of Whispers begins. The player can travel around locations, collecting items and artifacts that can be used to build a spaceship. Each item has a description that reveals part of the history of the setting.

In addition, each artifact found brings John and Lin closer together. If they are initially wary of each other, then later the heroes will become more frank and share stories from their past. Also, starting from a certain point, the user will be able to create their own equipment. This will allow them to penetrate previously inaccessible locations and explore them.
