Otherwar – a combination of tower defense and bullet hell elements in a visually attractive pixel art design. The player will have to defend the Gates of Heaven from the relentless onslaught of hellish forces, using an arsenal of towers and honing the combat skills of a vigilant angel hovering above the battlefield. Divided into three zones, each containing monstrous enemies, the game ramps up the challenge by pitting you against enemies bombarded by a variety of deadly projectiles. Some enemies are endowed with unique abilities: necromancers, for example, are able to revive fallen skeletons, and treants are able to cause a storm of leaves. Such fast-paced and hectic gameplay requires strategic thinking and quick adaptation.

There is a varied selection of ten weapons at your disposal, each of which has its own strengths and weaknesses. Some of them have special properties, such as the ability to impede enemy advances or intercept incoming threats. Upgrading or selling towers can be done on the fly, allowing new tactical decisions to be made. However, relying only on these bastions is not enough: the player must also use his personal combat prowess. Central to Otherwar's narrative is the Guardian Angel, who is the linchpin of all the player's endeavors. With the ability to freely move around the map, the angel has an impressive arsenal of skills – from incinerating lasers to calling lightning and even healing wounded allies. As the angel moves forward, he discovers new abilities that allow him to grow in strength. The multifaceted role of this character – controlling the tower and conducting frontal battles – plays a key role in achieving victory.
