IN Out There Somewhere the user is asked to control an astronaut who is forced to be stuck on an enemy planet. Having gotten involved in a battle in outer space, the protagonist underestimated the enemy's strength. It turned out to be a boss ship and there was no chance of victory; they had to make an emergency landing. It will not be possible to go to safe territory on your own: the fuel reserves are not even enough to launch an intergalactic starship. The only chance of salvation is to search for the core. However, you need to get to the underground center as soon as possible: openly aggressive alien creatures are everywhere and strive to get rid of the uninvited guest.

Out There Somewhere's levels are laid out sequentially and feature puzzles of varying difficulty. By solving problems, you can move on to the next quests. To fight with enemy fighters, weapons are provided at the start. However, no spectacular fights are expected; the main focus is on puzzles. Certain elements of the weapon arsenal are necessary for teleportation. Having fired from a special cannon, you can find yourself in the place where the shell hit. In addition to linear episodes, there are hidden missions. Ancient alien artifacts allow you to get close to them. By collecting items, you will also be able to gain additional health and feel more confident during the final confrontation with the megaboss.
