Each of them has an individual character and mechanics of tracking the hero.

The number 256 is in the name, not accidental. Indeed, in the original version there were 255 levels, and the last stage had an error in the software code, because of which half of the map and points did not have enough on the location to complete it. The level itself was half of random characters. Having collected everything that was possible, the passage did not end, leaving the player for life on the location. This is the table with the basis of the PAC-Man 256, because its maze is endless, and from the bottom of the screen will be adjusted all the time, these same random symbols.

The gameplay includes various bonuses, discovered abilities and mechanics: a burning laser, freezing of opponents, an increase in size, tornado, bombs and others.
