Pathfinder: Kingmaker tells the story of Jamandi Aldor, who was hired by the ruler of the country of Restov to carry out a mission. The reward is a barony, land, wealth and power. But all this is threatened when Jamandi's home is surrounded by assassins, and the hero is now tasked with tracking them down, which itself becomes a race against a rival group of adventurers. Players can mix and match classes and races and choose from hundreds of skills to forge their initial character, while dialogue options will further enhance the experience. But character is a small part of the experience, as you also have to manage your squad and fortress.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a quest simulator in which gamers travel across a world map, encountering different heroes. Once you've set up camp, you can assign specific roles to everyone here, as you'll need a hunter to get food and a cook to cook it. In combat, gamers will have the option to play turn-based or real-time.

At lower difficulty levels, where players can enjoy the story and dominate the fights, real-time mode is ideal. The party will attack based on AI scripts and use skills, items and abilities as they see fit. In turn-based mode, things get a lot more complicated, as this is where you can truly control your team in each encounter, lining up attacks and planning ahead, trying to stay on top of everything that's happening. Among other things, subjects may rebel or run out of supplies, food, or resources.
