Action People's General takes place in an alternate reality. It is 2005, the planet's resources are exhausted, and a conflict for dominance begins. The backstory is that China seizes Taiwan, penetrates Siberia, and sinks an American aircraft carrier along the way. After this, two alliances are created that unleash a bloody massacre. The Eastern Alliance includes China, Mongolia, and North Korea. In opposition to it is the Western Alliance – America, Russia, Japan, Australia – 14 countries in total. The game is not very different from the earlier parts, but has its own additions. For example, you can use helicopter brigades, terrain types have been added, and it is possible to buy units from allies. During the game, the user will have to complete combat missions and incoming assignments. Their main purpose is to capture enemy territory and protect their own bases. Commands are given using special buttons in the menu. Soldiers can accumulate experience and improve their characteristics.

People's General consists of missions:

• Eastern Company – here you will have to lead Chinese warriors. Organize an invasion of Russia and East Asia.
• Western Company – the player takes control of the allies. The main goal is to recapture lands from the Chinese.
• Railway Company – fighting for the Western troops, you should take control of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
• New World Order – Here, previously neutral Vietnam invades Thailand.
• Korean War – in this case it is necessary to help the Americans occupy the DPRK.
