Phantom: Covert Ops offers to immerse yourself in a stealth setting and take on the role of a special agent. His task is to penetrate the enemy base, reaching his destination by kayak. Each time, the complexity of the mission will change, but the original algorithm of actions remains unchanged with some amendments. You have to be careful, and given that the user is using a virtual reality system, everything looks much more atmospheric.

At the beginning of each mission, the Phantom: Covert Ops character can assess the situation, determining the location of each enemy and identifying possible routes of penetration. To do this, you can swim into the bushes and, using binoculars, mark the guards (white triangles will appear above their heads). At the same time, during the first task, the system will inform you that covert passage is the main priority, and you need to shoot only if necessary. The arsenal includes a pistol with a silencer, as well as a sniper rifle, which allows you to fire from a long distance. If marked enemies become alarmed upon discovering the corpses of allies, the indicator will change color, and upon eye contact with the user, it will turn red, and a firefight will begin. Such a development of events should be avoided as long as possible, because the chances in an open battle are frankly small.

The design and appearance of each location will change as you progress. In one situation it could be docks with ships, in another it could be a station where a satellite dish is located. Depending on this, the main task set before the user will also change. If something changes during the execution of one of the tasks, partners report this, giving new instructions.
