Phenomeno – a text quest about an ordinary guy from Japan who moves to the capital of the country – Tokyo, which he has dreamed of throughout his life. The main character has one unusual hobby – he periodically plays with a Ouija board and is interested in dark magic. One evening, his games go too far – the hero feels that after the session there is now someone else in the apartment. At first, he did not attach any importance to this, since he did not believe that he was able to summon something or someone into this world.

However, over time, he began to hear strange sounds in the house. He was able to cope with this by taking pills that allow him to sleep soundly at night. Then the number 7 scratched on the wall appeared. The next day it was already 6, and then 5. The boy understands that the countdown has begun. The protagonist realized that jokes with the occult are bad and now he can become a victim of his hobbies. There is nowhere to wait for help, since no one in their right mind would believe in the existence of otherworldly forces.

In Phenomeno there are no dialogues or colorful cinematic images against which all the events take place. The plot is presented exclusively with text inserts on a black background. On them, the gamer can read the monologue of the main character, and also learn the details of everything that is happening around. In between the narration, the user is asked to perform an action, choosing from several proposed variations. Depending on the chosen option, the storyline is adjusted and unfolds according to a certain scenario.
