Plan B: Terraform takes the user into the future, when the world is on the verge of irreversible changes caused by the influence of industry and rampant mining. Humanity still has scanty chances of survival, because uncontrolled emissions of carbon dioxide and harmful substances into the atmosphere have led to the rapid progression of the greenhouse effect and global warming. The player takes control of a promising manager who takes control of a settlement built according to a new model, showing respect and a rational approach to nature and its riches.

In Plan B: Terraform, the protagonist manages a settlement and constructs new buildings in residential, commercial and industrial zones. If at the initial stages a small number of citizens who believe in a bright future live in a settlement, then later everything will grow into a vast region with a million population. Restoring the planet is carried out using scientifically proven methods. Enterprises and additional useful equipment lead to an increase in the average temperature on Earth, which leads to intensive loss of massifs of ancient glaciers. Moisture enters the atmospheric layers and causes heavy precipitation, correcting the water balance of the reservoir. At the same time, green spaces are being restored and forests are being planted to saturate the atmosphere with oxygen. Events are played out in real time, where the gamer watches the manipulation and remaking of the surrounding space.
