Playable Mockup may be of interest to fans of unusual and experimental indie projects. It's a hybrid of horror and simplistic roguelike deckbuilding. The Japanese horror film is made in full 3D. It uses a first-person view. This video game uses snapshots instead of cards. The player can take pictures of various objects and obtain their properties. For example, a photograph of a painting with an ocean depicted on it will bring the gamer additional film (and its quantity is very limited here). And, if he takes a photo of the clock, he can move forward 60 minutes, and so on. From the received photo cards, the user forms a deck for manipulating time.

The action of the Playable Mockup project takes place in the Corridor of Dead Souls. This place was created from a photograph of a ghostly creature. It resembles a time loop. The protagonist needs to go through a segment that starts at 12:00 and ends at 0:00. The map is generated anew with each new run. The hero begins his journey in the gallery. He returns there after each loss. As he progresses, the character unlocks new abilities. The plot tells about the creepy adventures of a detective. The detective tries to find a ghost and capture it. After that, he needs to find out who killed the man who turned into a spirit. Monsters appear on the path of the bloodhound. They can be dealt with using a camera. However, each monster requires its own approach. The release contains an improved version. The reissue differs from the original in the increased amount of content and reworked balance.
