Prison Tycoon 3: Lockdown will make you feel like the head of a prison. The player is responsible for the care, custody and control of the prisoners. Initially, for development, a maximum security prison is given, which must be brought to the ideal. For every action in the process of building an ideal prison, virtual money begins, which can be spent on further development. Only the player on the other side of the screen can decide what to do with the prison (turn it into a real hell or a boarding house).

In Prison Tycoon 3: Lockdown, you can choose between strategies for developing the best prison in the world:

• Security – it is necessary to hire reliable security guards, arm them with weapons and protective equipment, including service dogs, so that not a single criminal leaves the place of detention.
• Keep your eyes open – the player must carefully ensure that none of his charges escape, smuggle contraband or do anything illegal.
• The devil is in the details – the environment varies from the guards you hire to the food served to the prisoners.
• A Cog in the Machine – Prisoners can be assigned several types of work, ranging from cleaning and maintenance to grueling manual labor.
• Freedom for the bandits – only the prison owner decides whether to release prisoners on parole or keep them locked up to protect society.
• Danger Zone – Gangs and prisoner morale can be managed to avoid riots.
