Project Warlock II is a sequel to the retro shooter. The developers have added the ability to save to the sequel. Autosaves, quick and manual saves have appeared. The size of the cards has increased noticeably. Levels have become 5-10 times higher. In addition, the creators reworked the balance and made magic more useful.

Project Warlock 2 has not one protagonist, but 3. Each hero has his own personal act. Consequently, the game is divided into three episodes. Each of them consists of 6 stages. On them you need to destroy monsters, collect upgrades, overcome obstacles, look for hiding places. Bot behavior has been redesigned. Enemies have learned to retreat, jump, and perform various attacks.

The plot begins where the story of the first part ended. Palmer wakes up in a castle overrun by demons. Not finding his teacher anywhere in the fortress, the young magician sets off to look for a mentor. Gradually, two of his other former students, Kirsten and Urd, join the search for the sorcerer (whom gamers played in the original). The whole trio is simultaneously trying to pass an exam in several disciplines in the field. Namely, necromancy, combat magic and pyromancy.

The range of weapons has increased. Each character has their own preferred arsenal, numbering over 20 samples. Among them are swords, shotguns, staves, machine guns, cannons, grenade launchers, machine guns, sniper rifles and so on. Also, all heroes have unique skills. Personal upgrades are provided for all wizards. They all have individual adventures with their usual opponents and bosses, traps, secrets, trophies.
