Project x29 takes gamers to an alternative 1920s. According to the lore, ancient people possessed incomprehensible technologies, most of which were lost. In the first half of the 20th century, Professor Braumer was able to activate ancient portals left by the predecessors of modern humanity. These teleports led to another reality, called Arvi Flar. When the explorers went there, they were attacked by a mysterious army. Then the Limbader & Co corporation sent armed fighters and ordinary workers through the gates. While some employees explore the area and extract resources, others protect them.

Project x29 is a tactical turn-based strategy with role-playing game elements. The indie project has an isometric view and 2D graphics in a retro style. It combines pixel art and photographs of real people. The video game has a story campaign. History is full of sudden turns. The battlefields here are randomly generated. The user commands a squad of fighters. His charges can use grenades, carbines, pistols, rifles, light and heavy machine guns. Each warrior or warrior can upgrade his skills.
