Here, landscapes and views replace each other, and fields along with plains are replaced by forests, dense groves or mountain ranges. The graphics here do not stand out and do not offer any special weather effects or detailed elaboration of the environment, but at the same time, each section of the terrain is shown as bright and rich.

As for the gameplay mechanics itself, there is nothing remarkable in the Proteus project. The character simply moves around an open area. From time to time, however, his special abilities appear, such as the ability to walk on water, but this is the only feature that can be noticed. Another feature of the project is that with each launch the user finds himself on a new, randomly generated island. Each time, the landscape and appearance will change, so it is physically impossible to study absolutely all the variations. But this is not necessary, because the game does not require accelerated gameplay or quick decision making. You can completely calmly walk around the neighborhood, enjoying the original musical composition created specifically for this game. In addition, here you can meet animals and birds, and at the moments of transition to new landscapes you can see the process of changing weather conditions. For example, a section of the sky will be covered with clouds, after which it will begin to rain.
