PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness is a visual novel based on the popular sci-fi anime that can be played without knowledge of the source material. The action takes place in an isolated future Japan, which has developed a special system for calculating the crime rate of each citizen. If it exceeds a given norm, then the person must be placed in a special isolation ward or destroyed by inspectors.

Two new recruits enter service in one of the units under the leadership of Ginoza. Kugatachi will be the new inspector who is undergoing temporary training and internship. An assistant is assigned to her in the form of a potential criminal, Tsurugi. Upon arrival, they immediately receive their first assignment as part of the first detachment. Alpha is a famous scammer whose goal, according to him, is to give happiness to all people. But he does this through manipulation, the use of chemicals, and subsequently population reduction. Such methods go against the ideology of the government, whose priority is control over the safety of all Japanese, so detectives will need to find the criminal and eliminate him.

PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness runs parallel to the first season of the work after 12 episodes. New original characters do not appear in the series and their storyline is unique. The game will be an excellent option for all fans of the franchise, as well as fans of gray morality, difficult choices, action-packed detective stories and thrillers.
