Ravenfield is a first-person shooter that simulates combat clashes between two sides. The player can control not only ground soldiers, but also control equipment or command allies, of which there are dozens on the battlefield. The gameplay contains rag physics of the characters. When exploding or dying, their bodies randomly fall to the ground or fly away a distance, depending on the force of the impact and direction.

Gameplay focuses on large-scale clashes taking place on vast maps, where infantry, aircraft and ground combat vehicles exchange fire. Both teams can capture control points, where support and vehicles appear, giving an advantage. The opportunity to create your own scenarios and original battles with different numbers of units in a location is presented.

Dozens of options provide options such as controlling artificial intelligence, customizing the battle plan, and changing other factors related to the behavior of the AI. There are several modes centered around capturing control points, killing enemies and earning the most points. In the editor you can create a terrain from scratch, install decorations, spawn points, structures, shelters and much more. The user can control aircraft and combat boats.
