RECURSOR – an indie project that combines the features of roguelikes and action platformers. The protagonist of the game is a robot traveling through a labyrinth full of traps, obstacles and enemies. With each new playthrough, the labyrinth changes, so the gamer will not be able to choose the right path by trial and error. The complexity of the locations increases exponentially. The first locations are quite easy, but the further the user goes, the more difficult and dangerous obstacles he will encounter. Some levels encourage careful consideration of the battle strategy.

The graphics of RECURSOR are made in the classic pixel style, like in the old games of the 80s. At the same time, the lighting is done in a modern way – the lights sway from the movements of the protagonist and make the surrounding objects cast shadows. The protagonist is a trained fighter – the robot is able to move quickly, deliver strong blows and shoot back from a distance. If desired, the gamer can destroy the enemy in close combat or shoot, dodging all attacks.

The enemies and traps in the project are varied and require an individual approach. For example, some obstacles can only be solved by activating special buttons located at a great distance. To press them, the gamer must shoot. And some enemies can be easily destroyed in hand-to-hand combat, without wasting ammunition.
