Restricted Area invites the player to play the role of a military man, left alone to explore an abandoned and mysterious world. The environment is presented in a post-apocalyptic style, but with living vegetation. The main character finds himself in an unknown environment, where he has to fight zombie monsters filling the territory. As he explores, he finds food and water, weapons and items to complete story tasks.

The central character will have to save the world from a deadly virus that has captured most of the territories. It all starts when a military plane crashes near its landing site. The world is filled with cities, big houses and hidden places. In each building the user can find useful items such as ammunition, food, equipment, weapons or key things.

The main task in the passage is to find an atomic rocket and certain things necessary to launch the vehicle. Finding yourself in an abandoned world, you will need to try not to die among the monsters. The system of hunger and thirst forces you to look for food and water. The arsenal includes weapons such as pistols, machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles and knives. Notes scattered throughout the area reveal more about the backstory of these places. The minimalistic interface displays the selected weapon and the amount of ammo.
