Rising Storm 2: Vietnam — an asymmetrical multiplayer shooter, the setting for which is the Vietnam War. Up to 64 participants, divided into 2 sides of the conflict, are offered to fight in matches. On one side is the South, represented by the USA, Australia and South Vietnam. On the other is the North, protected by the People's Army and the Viet Cong. The bulk of the fighting takes place on the ground, where soldiers from different countries participate in infantry skirmishes. However, helicopters may be circling in the sky above them, and artillery may be thundering around them.

The asymmetrical gameplay of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is ensured by 5 sides of the conflict:

• US Army. Controls napalm strikes, the Spooky attack helicopter, and advanced weapons such as the M16 rifle and C4 explosives.
• Australian troops. On their side are heavy artillery, Canberra bombers and Western gunfire.
• VSRV. They wield mortars, an A-1 Skyraider with napalm on board, as well as a variety of weapons from modern to World War II, such as M1 Garand rifles and an M60 machine gun.
• VNA. Equipped with mostly old US weapons, along with surface-to-air missiles, and capable of quickly bringing reinforcements through the Ho Chi Minh tunnels.
• NFOYUV. Traps, white phosphorus and Russian-Chinese firearms, like AK-47, Mosinok and even PPSh.

In total, players are given more than 50 types of weapons and 4 controllable air vehicles to choose from. They can be used on 20 maps that replicate real military situations of that time. Ballistics, distance-based voice chat, and the ability to customize your own fighter with authentic equipment and accessories also add realism.
