Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries does not have lengthy introductions, and immediately immerses users in the thick of things. The main character of the project, Robbie, comes to his senses in an unusual-looking room, where a small spirit addresses him. He reports that the character will have to save the world, and if successful, he will be generously rewarded for this. Well, if there is a reward for the work, Robbie is always willing to try. Immediately after this, having chosen the difficulty level that suits him, the gamer finds himself locked in a temple full of traps and dangerous segments. The final goal of this adventure is to collect the fragments of the mystical sphere in order to get out of here and save the world.

In terms of gameplay, Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries is a classic platformer. The character moves in the indicated direction, overcoming obstacles and traps. Depending on the selected difficulty level, the “density” of the location of these same traps will change, creating an increasing level of discomfort and forcing the gamer to make decisions faster. For example, when you need to run away from a huge boulder while simultaneously maneuvering between swinging axes and pendulums, it is important not to make a mistake with the jump distance or not to pause too long. One way or another, there are a lot of factors on which the pace of progress through the plot depends. At times, the system gives a break, offering to simply jump over depressions with spikes, after which it suddenly throws a huge circle with blades at Robbie, which moves chaotically, forcing him to dodge his movements. At the same time, you cannot relax for a second, because even a banal fall into the abyss will lead to the death of the character and force you to go through the allotted segment again.
