Rogue Spirit mixes a simplistic roguelike with action and stealth. The project with 3D cartoon graphics uses a third-person view. The main character knows how to subjugate enemies, of which there are 20 types. They differ in appearance, fighting styles, skills, and behavior patterns. After possessing an enemy, the protagonist gains access to all of his abilities. Managing each adversary may require some getting used to. During fights, you can perform 2 types of attacks, dodge and parry enemy attacks. You can control movements using a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad.

In Rogue Spirit, the gameplay is divided into two parts. In ghost form, the player is forced to hide from opponents. The spirit cannot fight, but it is allowed to see the radius of vision of opponents and notice secrets. To be able to fight, you need to capture the body. However, if the HP scale is low, you will have to change it to a new shell with a full supply of health. The campaign consists of 10 levels, but you won’t be able to complete it the first time. If you die, you will need to start all over again. Locations are generated randomly every time. There are 5 biomes available. There are boss battles. In between races, you can upgrade the main character and unlock permanent upgrades. Events take place in the kingdom of Midra. In it, the monks summoned a spirit prince to save fantasy lands from the invasion of demons.
