Rose of Starcross tells the story of the world of the same name, where the Beast came from outer space 300 years ago. Possessing destructive power, he tore the planet into pieces until he was stopped by the Heavenly Queen. The beast was defeated, but its magic continued to live, and the ancient heroine was seriously wounded. As a result, she sealed herself until better times along with the evil forces behind a door that only one sword in the whole world can open. He, however, was rehabilitated and continued to live. Demons and anima made friends with people, a new society and order formed.

However, as usual in RPGs, the protagonists of Rose Starcross, one day accidentally get their hands on that same key-blade. This is where their journey to the legendary Door begins. It takes place in the format of a two-three-dimensional platformer, interspersed with RPG mechanics. You will have to travel around the world through a complex landscape, abysses and mountains, where you constantly need to solve physical and logical puzzles. Fortunately, the heroines are helped in this by the magic they possess. For example, a steerable boom. However, sometimes they have to fight to earn experience and move forward.

In semi-turn-based battles, you can use one of 4 actions:

• Attack. Even a classic attack requires a simple QTE.
• Defend yourself. In this case, you will have to turn around in time in the direction of the enemy attack.
• Create magic. And to do this, you need to complete mini-games for the spell to have an effect.
• Run or provoke. You can either escape from the battle or begin to influence the emotional state of the enemy, changing the conditions of the battle.
