Saimin Gakushu: Secret Desire is a detailed visual novel with a non-linear plot, intricate relationships between characters and unexpected endings. The main character is a student at the local higher education institution Soichi. His more trusting and flexible classmates do not like him, because they consider him an ignoramus and a slacker. The guy himself doesn’t really hide it, but the conflict with the head of the student government, the pretty young lady Tsukino, makes him think about the correctness of his chosen tactics.

The protagonist of Saimin Gakushu: Secret Desire is about to put an end to these ridicule and fix the situation, but then he comes across a page on a shopping website where a mysterious seller is offering a special device for hypnosis and altering consciousness. Without thinking twice and being skeptical about this, the adventurer orders this product and soon receives it. The first field tests pleasantly surprise him – the machine works and properly performs the specified functions.

The boy, pleased with himself and his new acquisition, decides to test his machine at full strength on his old enemy, the president of the council, in order to make himself known and show that he is not such a failure after all. This approach involves not only a change in attitude towards genius, but also intimacy in the near future.
