Samorost 1 – an adventure quest combined with puzzle elements. The action takes place in a surreal world where you have to solve an ancient riddle and avoid deadly traps. Interaction with the environment occurs with regular mouse clicks in the “point and click” style. The main task is to prevent a huge asteroid from colliding with the Gnome's home planet.

This part of Samorost has been changed, compared to the original version. A new soundtrack is presented, and old shortcomings and bugs have been fixed for a better gameplay. The gamer is able to explore several locations of his choice, receiving items and keys in a non-linear order. Depending on the actions, different rooms and passages open, but the ending is always identical.

Dvorsky called the main character a Gnome, and he is wearing only pajamas, which will remain for his entire adventure through an unusual world. Hints and notes help the user understand how some laws of physics and objects with incomprehensible, at first glance, properties work here. As you progress, logical tasks become complex and elaborate, and the gamer will need to find clues and objects hidden in various places on the territory. In space, some locations change the rules of interaction and activation of mechanisms.
