Action Samurai Warriors 5 takes place during the Sengoku period and focuses on the events and conflicts that led to the incident called Honno-ji. The plot contains authentic personalities who became key and because of whom the incident occurred. The gameplay is similar to previous installments in the franchise, combining adventure with the hack-and-slash genre. The gamer will have to face numerous enemies and kill them using the strength of the main character.

On the battlefield, the player will face hundreds of opponents. In the clash you will need to destroy the enemy general, after which victory will occur. The central character uses special abilities that allow him to break through many opponents at once and quickly move around the area. An ultimate skill is a kind of improvement used to increase combo attacks and regenerate a strong skill scale.

In the fifth part, 27 new samurai warriors and officers join, as well as those who were in previous projects. Gradually, the protagonist's power increases, but enemy commanders and minions also become stronger.
