Slender: The Arrival – immerses you in an eerie horror atmosphere, where you have to wander through a desolate area and look for answers to unravel terrible secrets. The game focuses on moving through abandoned places, from the perspective of the protagonist Lauren and immersing herself in the growing suspense of the horror occurring. When moving around locations, you need to be extremely careful and attentive so as not to run into the evil creature of Slenderman.

The gameplay of Slender: The Arrival opens through the lens of a video camera that the heroine carries with her and can use to zoom in or out in night vision mode. While completing the task of finding your lost friend Kate, you have to explore confusing and gloomy locations, finding notes telling about the plot and what happened. The only assistant in completing this mission is Lauren's flashlight, which allows you to keep your mind in order and notice important details of the environment.

The plot is divided into five main chapters, supplemented by several levels. During skirmishes with the monster, you have to run away and not catch the eye of Slender. When the antagonist gets too close to the character, the camera begins to produce noise and interfere with the assessment of the situation around them. When the enemy is nearby, you can’t see anything due to the strong white noise and you have to run in random directions, saving yourself and waiting out the attack.
