Slice of Sea takes you to the era of atmospheric flash adventures. The project was created in that same remarkable style with hand-drawn drawings, forming its own unique world. A special feature is the lack of a serious storyline. The gamer, along with the main character named Algae, is thrown into an environment of ruins, ancient cities, and fragments of antiquity. The task is to find a way home, to the native depths of the sea. However, the game world is not only huge, it also combines different historical periods, surreal landscapes and even parallel universes.

A Piece of the Sea plunges into an atmosphere of decline against the backdrop of former grandeur and large-scale structures. The locations are made in a multi-level form, together creating a huge space for exploration. They are connected to each other by direct transitions, but for greater convenience there is also a system of fast travel portals. You can move freely, returning to the previously left passage. The mechanics are built in the form of a quest – to solve a certain problem you need to find the appropriate item.

There are a huge number of interactive objects in the game, so the GG’s inventory will often be a little more than completely full. At the same time, the project does not create any overload when solving puzzles, allowing you to calmly travel to beautiful places and have fun with simple tasks. Algae's wanderings are accompanied by an ambient soundtrack that organically complements the overall picture. Also worthy of attention is the title tune from Cat Jahnke.
