Smoots Golf is an arcade golf simulator with 3D cartoon graphics. This title can offer a relaxing atmosphere and calming gameplay. It has a low barrier to entry. There are 2 modes to choose from: Tournament (regular golf) and Mini Golf (mini golf). For the first game there are 45 holes, for the second – 20. The locations are varied. Among them there is a desert, a forest, a valley and even an active volcano. There is also training here. Sessions go by quickly here. You can play alone with bots or with two, three or four players on one PC. Multiplayer here is local only. The gameplay is reminiscent of old Mario spin-offs dedicated to this sport. The physics in this game are simplified. The ball always lands flat. But its flight path is affected by the wind (as well as the strength of the swing and the type of club).

Initially, the Smuts Golf project was released only on consoles, so its controls were tailored for gamepads. However, when porting the title to computers, the developers added the ability to control the character using the mouse and keyboard. Moreover, in case of get-togethers with friends, only one person can use it, and the rest of the participants will still need joysticks. Strikes here are made in a couple of button presses. You can choose one of three clubs for different types of surfaces on which the ball is currently lying. When playing with bots, the user is forced to watch how each computer opponent makes his shots. You can skip these points if you wish.
