Songs of Conquest mixes role-playing game, adventure and turn-based strategy. The product is inspired by classic hits from the end of the last century. The graphics of the indie title combine 2D and 3D. It combines pixel art with modern special effects. Events take place in a fantasy world. There are several campaigns available. Each of them has their own song. The story is told through the musical stories of bards. After completing the mission, a new verse opens. The result is a complete ballad by the end of the playthrough. There is also a map editor. In addition, there is online multiplayer. It contains the ability to play together on one computer.

There are 4 factions in the Songs of Conquest project:

Necromancers Lot – dream of creating a future where everyone will be resurrected dead;

The Baria are a very money and independence loving faction made up of mercenaries and inventors;

The Rana tribes are peoples who have fought for centuries to survive in dangerous swamps;

The knights of ancient Arleon are loyal subjects who fight for the royal throne.

The indie project can be called the spiritual successor to “Heroes of Might and Magic.” The overlord wanders around the global map, interacts with objects, finds chests of gold or artifacts, fights neutral creatures or enemy commanders, and also rebuilds the city. Improvements in the settlement are also displayed on the global map: the settlement is gradually expanding in breadth. In exploration mode, the user looks at what is happening from above with the ability to scale the image. When it comes to battles, the camera changes its angle to a side view. Fights take place on a field divided into hexes with elevation changes and obstacles. The terrain in such arenas can be used to gain a tactical advantage.
