Sons of the Forest is a continuation of the story of the cult horror. Events take place in an alternative future, which for mysterious reasons is filled with terrible monsters. Humanity is forced to hide and survive, because monsters use the human race as food. The survivors have gone underground and only the bravest and most desperate heroes dare to confront the threat. The protagonist is an ordinary soldier who was recruited by the intelligence services. The main character is sent on a mission, but circumstances do not allow it to take place. The helicopter the squad was flying in crashes and lands in a dark forest filled with mutants. Now the fighter must forget about the mission and simply survive in harsh conditions.

The protagonist turns out to be the only survivor, so there is no need to wait for help. The weapons and equipment were not damaged, but the ammunition would not last long. That is why cartridges are a valuable resource and should only be used in emergency situations. The player will have to survive in the forest by collecting various items. Findings can greatly help out a soldier and even save his life. The forest contains enemies of different types. The gamer cannot cope with some of them, so he will have to escape to save them. The project contains elements of horror: monsters jumping out from everywhere will make you tickle your nerves.
