Events in Star Wolves 2 takes place 6 years after what happened in the first part. Balance in the universe was restored, and transgalactic corporations were sent to the outskirts of space and stripped of their power. The Empire still fights against aliens, but battleship guns are not used as a rule in such battles. Therefore, a squad of star wolves comes into play, possessing mobile oversized ships and knowing very well how to fight in space.

The main feature that distinguishes the Star Wolves 2: Civil War project concerns non-linearity. Thus, the user can decide whose contracts he will execute. There are 5 employers to choose from: the Old Empire, the New Empire fleet, the Free Traders Union, the Triad and USS Corporations (positioned together), as well as the InoCo Corporation. By receiving missions, you can not only experience the complexity of encounters, but also explore the in-game world with more than 50 systems. In addition, complete freedom of action is provided here, so after completing the next contract, you can stay in one or another zone, exploring the surrounding area. Compared to the first game, new models of shuttles appeared here, including models with alien technologies. As you complete quests, a moral indicator is formed, which allows you to improve relations with a particular structure. But you should understand that other formations will react to this, and they may not like the next effective action of the player. There was no pumping either. So, now each vessel can be improved according to different criteria by purchasing more advanced spare parts or configurations. Having received a serious boost, you can take on more complex missions and not be afraid of clashes with those same battleships.
