IN Stellaris you have to explore the vast expanses of space, manage your own state, conduct military and diplomatic missions. Depending on the player’s choices and actions, his state will follow a certain path of development. The gameplay is presented in the form of a 4X real-time strategy game.

Before passing through, the galaxy is generated procedurally. The entire terrain is displayed on a plane divided into many areas. The user takes control of one of several space empires. In addition to the main civilization, there will be many gangs of space pirates, other states, alien factions and neutral parties. At the start, you will need to explore space, only then begin to capture it.

If the gamer manages to colonize a sufficient number of cosmic bodies and expand their borders, then the main aspect of the game goes over to the side of diplomacy. Due to the large number of territories, a crisis may occur throughout the galaxy. This is accompanied by the attack of other civilizations from new galaxies, as well as the awakening of ancient races. Opponents and neutrals are controlled by artificial intelligence. The user is able to adjust the passage to suit himself.

Game session settings:

• Number of stars in the galaxy (from 200 to 1000). Also its type: ring-shaped, elliptical and spiral.
• AI behavior and skill level.
• Number of computer-controlled opponents.
• Number of forgotten civilizations. These races were previously highly developed technologically, but if their principles are violated, they will awaken and actively fight the player.
• There are 4 types of “extinct” factions: materialists, xenophobes, xenophiles and spiritualists.
