Sudden Strike 4 is a real-time strategy game set in the World War II era. For the fourth time, the player is invited to plunge into the atmosphere of the “Sudden Impact” series and enjoy participating in tactical and large-scale battles between warring factions. Each of them has fundamental differences that affect the gameplay, for example, the presence or absence of a certain type of troops, strengths and weaknesses, and much more.

The single-player campaign is divided into three separate parts, each of them dedicated to the storyline of different countries participating in the conflict – the Soviet Union, the United States of America and Germany. The missions themselves are classic in relation to other representatives of the genre – capturing or defending a point, destroying an enemy fortification or detachment, escorting someone, and so on. The gamer controls both infantrymen and various armored military equipment – tanks, jeeps, airplanes, armored personnel carriers and much more.

There is also multiplayer in the game; all maps from the single-player mode have been transferred to it without the slightest changes. Connecting with random people occurs through an Internet connection. To confront friends, you can use the local network. Online, the same mechanics for leveling up your own squads are the same as offline. The player can choose the doctrine according to which this or that unit will be developed, which will help achieve the necessary bonuses.
